Where’s Your Time Really Going?

Let me ask you something I had to ask myself this morning: Where is your time actually going?

Not what you say you value. Not what’s on your

Where’s Your Time Really Going?

vision board. Not what you told your crew you’re building.

But what you’re actually giving your hours to—day in, day out.

Because here’s the truth: Time is your most valuable asset, and many of us are spending it like it’s unlimited.

Paul wasn’t playing when he wrote in Ephesians 5:15–17,

“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.”

He’s not just suggesting a productivity hack—he’s warning us: You’re either walking with wisdom, or you’re wasting your life.

So many of us are busy, but not all of us are building. We’re letting the “don’t matters” rob us of what actually matters.

That’s exactly what happened to Martha in Luke 10. She was doing the most—serving, prepping, moving. But Jesus called her out. She was distracted.

Meanwhile, Mary sat at His feet, locked in. Same house. Same access. Same moment. But only one was truly present—and truly prepared.

That brings us to the word focus. It comes from the Latin word focus, which literally means “hearth”—the central fire in a home.

In other words: Whatever you focus on becomes the fire that fuels your life.

So, if your fire is burning for distractions, comfort, or clout—you’re going to burn out. But if your fire is set on purpose, on God’s will, on building what actually matters?

You’ll build something eternal.

Here’s the truth:🧱 Builders prioritize.📊 Drifters react. And your calendar tells the whole story.

Jesus said it best in Matthew 6:33:

“Seek first the Kingdom of God…”

Not when you get a moment. Not when your notifications slow down. First.

Because if the Kingdom isn’t the fire at your center…Something else is. And whatever that is—it’s shaping your decisions, your mindset, and ultimately your future.

So let me leave you with this: You’re not just managing time. You’re managing your worship.

Every hour is a seed. Every minute is a vote. Every distraction is a silent thief of your destiny.

So, what are you giving your time to?

Stay focused. Stay Kingdom-first. Let’s build what lasts.
